The Short Version

  • We never collect your health data. All calculations happen in your browser.
  • You don't need an account. No email, no password, no personal data required.
  • We use Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics.
  • We show Google AdSense ads to keep the site free.
  • Your saved data stays on your device only (via localStorage).

What We Do NOT Collect

We want to be crystal clear: KidneyTracker never collects, stores, or transmits any health information you enter into our tools. This includes:

  • Lab values (creatinine, eGFR, BUN, etc.)
  • Calculator inputs (age, sex, weight)
  • Symptom checker answers
  • Food search queries
  • Kidney tracker entries
  • Hydration logs

All processing happens entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. No health data ever leaves your device.

Local Storage

Some tools (Kidney Health Tracker, Hydration Tracker) save data to your browser's localStorage — this is a storage area on YOUR device, not on our servers. This data:

  • Never gets sent to us or any server
  • Only exists on the specific browser and device you used
  • Can be deleted anytime by clearing your browser data
  • Can be exported to CSV by you at any time

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site (which pages are visited, how long people stay, what devices they use). This helps us improve the site. Google Analytics:

  • Collects anonymous usage data (page views, browser type, country)
  • Does NOT collect any health information you enter
  • Uses cookies to track visits
  • You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on

Google AdSense

We display ads through Google AdSense to keep the site free. Google AdSense may:

  • Use cookies to show you relevant ads based on your browsing history across the web
  • NOT have access to any health data you enter in our tools
  • You can manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings
