About KidneyTracker

Making kidney health understandable for everyone, completely free.

Our Mission

37 million Americans have chronic kidney disease, and 9 out of 10 don't know it. This is because kidney disease is often silent; you can lose half your kidney function before you ever feel a symptom.

KidneyTracker exists to change that. We build free, evidence-based tools that help people understand their kidney health in plain English. No medical jargon, no complex accounts, and no data collection. Just clear answers when you need them most.

Why We Built This

When you get kidney lab results, you usually just see a number on a sheet. If you Google that number, you'll likely find either complex medical papers or scary, worst-case scenarios.

We wanted something better: a place where anyone could enter their lab numbers and get a clear, calm, and accurate explanation of what those numbers mean. Our goal is to provide actionable next steps without the fearmongering or the need for a sign-up.

Our Approach

📚 Evidence-Based

Our tools and articles are based on guidelines from the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), NIH, KDIGO, and peer-reviewed medical literature. We cite our sources.

🔒 Privacy-First

Everything runs in your browser. We never collect, store, or transmit your health data. When you use our tools, your information stays on your device.

🎯 Patient-Focused

We write for patients and caregivers, not doctors. We use plain English and visual aids to be as helpful as possible, avoiding the usual medical jargon.

💰 Free Forever

KidneyTracker is ad-supported and will always be free. We will never charge for our tools, require an account, or gate content behind a paywall.

Medical Advisory

KidneyTracker provides educational tools only. We do not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Our tools are built to supplement your relationship with your healthcare provider, not replace it.

All medical content is reviewed against current guidelines from the National Kidney Foundation, KDIGO, and the National Institutes of Health. We are committed to accuracy and will fix any errors brought to our attention immediately.
